Other people like us:

Dan Domench sent me a copy of his audio-only book, Hold Me Fast. Dan's writing is evocative, his production has a wonderful, light touch and the performances in these recordings bring even more life into this cycle of lively monologues. Like us, he is exclusively in audio: Dandomench.com

Check out The Relay Project. It's an audio magazine that specializes in more experimental work: found sound, interviews and other fun stuff. They have Barry Hannah on their issue, and we're jealous.

Matt O'Donnell has audio of emerging poets on his great page: Fishousepoems.org.

Hugh Mcguire has turned librivox from a small idea into a monster. Their simple goal is to put everything in the public domain into a free downloadable audiobook. Plus, he made me start the Verb podcast.

Laurel Snyder writes, edits, podcasts, and evangelizes on good writing. Her site: jewishyirishy.com

Other things we are doing:

Verb: An Audioquarterly is a founding planner and sponsor for the Decatur Book Festival: Decaturbookfestival.com

Our distributor is the one of the top university presses in the country: University of Georgia Press.
Most literary magazines have nothing but complaints about their distributors. UGA Press, however, is a great organization and a joy to work with.

Michael Wilson has photographed some of the best musicians in the country. Now, his list of clients goes something like this: B.B. King, Philip Glass, John Hiatt, Lyle Lovett, Emmylou Harris, Verb. I don't expect to have many opportunities to put this project on that kind of list, so I am taking advantage of it while I can.

Our audio consultant is Robin Wise, whose patience is legendary. She, unlike Bill O'Reilly, really has won a Peabody.

Our logo designer is the award winning Gil Shuler. He has a great, fun site.

Daren Wang, Verb's publisher, is also the host and producer of The Spoken Word, a syndicated public radio series heard on over 40 stations throughout the Southeast.

Tom Bell is one of our assistant editors, and he is a great writer himself.
